Dr. Loukatos has spent the past 18 years working in and managing emergency departments, and has the knowledge and experience necessary to take care of any condition that walks through the door.

His years of experience have taught him that most patients who end up in the ER can be cared for in the Urgent Care setting, at a fraction of the cost and in a more comfortable environment. It is this experience that sparked the vision for AlphaCare. Dr Loukatos is committed to offering a new option to patients of the Gulf Coast by providing the best possible care in an environment that is fast, friendly, and cost-efficient.

A native of Fairhope for the past 30 years, Ashley began her career as a Physician Assistant when she graduated from the University of Southern Alabama’s PA program 23 years ago.

A native of Fairhope for the past 30 years, Ashley began her career as a Physician Assistant when she graduated from the University of Southern Alabama’s PA program 23 years ago.

Her practice history includes over a decade in the emergency department as well as several years of orthopedics, cardiology, urology, and dermatology.

Her vast experience serves as the foundation for the exceptional care she provides as a full-time provider at our Fairhope and Spanish Fort locations.

Lindsey brings her years of experience as both an ER nurse and an ER Nurse Practitioner to AlphaCare. This ER experience is the foundation that allows her to handle her urgent care cases with a high level of expertise.

A long term resident of Ocean Springs, Lindsey enjoys taking care of her neighbors at our Ocean Springs location. She also serves as the Provider Performance Improvement Specialist for AlphaCare and helps ensure that all providers deliver the best possible care to our patients

Melissa Moore, FNP

Melissa brings over a decade of experience as a nurse and nurse practitioner to her patients at AlphaCare. Prior to joining AlphaCare in 2022, Melissa worked in the urgent care setting as well as in the occupatinal health and primary care space.

She prides herself on providing empathetic, quality healthcare with a focus on patient assessment and education. Melissa works at all of our Mississippi locations but practices primarily at AlphaCare Urgent Care Biloxi.

Michele McLeod has over 30 years of clinical experience. She has served as the lead provider and assistant medical director for a large Urgent Care network, as well as owning and operating her own medical practice.

Michele McLeod has over 30 years of clinical experience, which includes a background in critical care nursing prior to her career as a nurse practitioner. She has served as the lead provider and assistant medical director for a large Urgent Care network, as well as owning and operating her own medical practice.

Her areas of expertise include occupational health, women's health, dermatology and wound repair, and health maintenance and wellness. McLeod draws upon this experience to provide complete and compassionate care to her patients at AlphaCare.

Charles began his career in medicine as a nurse at a Level II trauma center before going on to complete his advanced practice degree at the University of Southern MS, where he was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society.

He spent the next 5 years practicing in the Urgent Care space before joining AlphaCare in 2024.

Charles has a passion for quality, efficient care that is reflected in his practice at AlphaCare. He can be found at all 3 Mississippi locations but primarily practices at our Biloxi Urgent Care center.

Lauren obtained her Advanced Practice degree from the University of South Alabama in 2011. Since then, she has practiced in Urgent Care, Cardiology, and Aesthetics.

Lauren joined the AlphaCare team in 2023 with the addition of our new Alabama locations. A lifelong native of Fairhope, Lauren takes special pride in caring for the community that she grew up in.

Nathan began his career in acute care an emergency department nurse, where he practiced for over 15 years before deciding to pursue his practitioner degree.

He graduated from the University of South Mississippi in 2014 and has been practicing as an emergency department, family practice, and hospitalist practitioner since. Nathan can be found splitting his time between all three Mississippi locations and has quickly become an integral part of the AlphaCare Team.

Amanda Scorsone - FNP

Amanda received her Master of Science from Colorado State University after serving in the United States Navy. She joined AlphaCare in November of 2021 and has quickly become a favorite of our patients.

Amanda received her Master of Science from Colorado State University after serving in the United States Navy. She spent several years caring for our active duty military, their families, and veterans.

She also independently ran a State Health Department clinic and was the chief operator at a COVID-19 testing site. She joined AlphaCare in November of 2021 and has quickly become a favorite of our patients.

Brian began his career as a nurse in the intensive care unit before moving to a nurse in a Level II trauma center. He completed his advanced practice degree at the University of South Alabama. He has experience in cardiology and emergency medicine prior to joining the AlphaCare team.

Katie began her nursing career over thirty years ago working in critical care and later in diabetes management. She pursued her advanced degree in 2008 at Mississippi University for Women in Columbus, MS.

She relocated to the Gulf Coast in 2018 and brings experience in occupational health, urgent care and most recently primary care.

Katie loves the Gulf Coast, she is excited about planting roots here and is happy to be a part of the AlphaCare family at the new location in Pass Christian.

Rachael spent 15 years as a nurse before transitioning to a family nurse practitioner role and has since worked in ambulatory acute care since 2022. She primarily worked in the Emergency room for most of her nursing career.

Her professional background includes experience in various medical settings, with a significant portion of her career spent in the emergency room.

She has also worked in primary care, and she believes that this blend of primary care and ER experience makes working in urgent care an ideal fit for her skills and interests. Amanda is a mother of two children and enjoys caring for kids and the residents of Baldwin County.

Joe began his medical career in the Military as a Navy Corpsman before completing his Advanced Practice Degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He retired from the military in 2021 with 28 years of service, with the last 10 being a physician assistant with an emphasis in emergency medicine, urgent care, occupational health, and family medicine.

Prior to joining AlphaCare Urgent Care, Joe worked in occupational health and urgent care. Joe focuses on providing quality care that is educational and patient oriented. He works at all of our Mississippi locations.

Lindsey has been a registered nurse since 2010 and a nurse practitioner since 2015. She has practiced both as and RN and NP primarily in the emergency department and urgent care settings throughout her career, as well as short time in Pediatrics.

Ms. Hansen began her career at AlphaCare as a Medical Tech after many years spent in the Emergency Department. Her commitment to excellent patient care has led her to the roles of Lead Med Tech, Clinical Coordinator, and now Director of Operations.

Ms. Guyer brought many years of experience in the Emergency Department and Hospital systems to AlphaCare. Her exemplary performance has led her to be tasked with the duties of Lead Med Tech in our Alabama urgent care centers.

She may be found practicing at both of our Alabama locations, and continues to provide the exemplary care that makes AlphaCare Urgent Care the preferred provider of emergency services in Baldwin County.

Ms. Varnado completed her formal training as a Medical Assistant at BlueCliff Technical College in Gulfport. She joined AlphaCare in 2019 and has been providing outstanding patient care since.

Devon joined AlphaCare in 2021 and has been overseeing our Occupational Health services since 2023. She is the AlphaCare liason to our many corporate partners and strives to ensure that all of our occupational health clients receive outstanding services.
